There are several ways to configure a network adapter in AIX. Here I am explaining how to configure/edit a network card using "smitty"
You can use the command smitty chinet
# smitty chinet
You can use the command smitty chinet
# smitty chinet
Select the adapter you need to configure and "Enter"
Add the IP address, netmask and gateway. Make the status of the interface as UP.
